TRAILER Ramp and Swing Door Perimeter Seal
installation instruction

1. Open ramp door to patio or ground level or open both swing doors. Remove the old seal. A minimal thin line of residue, from old seal, can remain. This will not affect the adhesion of this seal.

2. Clean the application area thoroughly with soap and water. Dry with a clean towel.

3. Use enclosed alcohol pads to further clean the application area. Let dry for 30 seconds.

4. Separate seal, by pulling apart, into 2 pieces. Total length should be 35ft +/- cut length tolerances.

5. Use enclosed adhesion promoter and apply a thin layer, approximately 3/4” (1.9cm) wide, to the surface area that the adhesive strip will be adhering to. Let dry 2 minutes and apply seal within the next 90 minutes.

6. Remove a section of the red adhesive liner. Align to one corner edge and begin adhering (FIG 1 and FIG 2).

7. Apply moderate pressure to the top of rubber while keeping seal taunt, but do not stretch and conform to any contours. Stop at the opposing corner. Cut to fit. Do not reposition seal once adhesive has contacted the surface (this will weaken the bond strength of the adhesive and void warranty).

8. Remove a section of liner and flush to adhered seal and continue to next corner. Repeat until complete.

9. After adhering, apply firm pressure (25lbs) on top of rubber, along adhesive strip.

10. Do not close the ramp door or swing doors for a minimum of 30 minutes.
